seeking

today i read the story of joshua and the people of gibeon. 

those guys dressed up like travelers from a far land- and came to joshua asking for safety and to be his servants. Joshua was a little hesitant- but basically was like. ok. whatever. 

he took them on. he didn't ask for God's counsel. advice. wisdom. 

he just did it. 

come to find out--- these people were his neighbors and tricked joshua. 

well. the moral of the story: seek God. 

why do we rush into things. what do we do without first inquiring after God. 

its something i do often. 

i do. i don't think or pray. 

i just do. 

should no need to slow down more. 

seek after God. 

pray. reflect. 

then do.

it was just a little food for thought today.
